The brim and front panel are made from a natural process that starts with a rubber tree. After the sap is harvested....there's an art to harvesting so you don't harm the tree.......anyway, I digress, after the sap is harvested it goes through multiple steps before it becomes the material on your cap. Amazonian natives have been making 'smoked vegetable leather' for a while and the techniques are handed down from generation to generation.
We were fortunate enough to find a tribe who are still making the rubber latex the age old way.
But not for much longer. It's getting increasingly more difficult to source this material so when we run out of these caps that's it baby.
